Artist Statement

Jewelry is personal art form. I am fascinated with how people adorn themselves. Everyone should have at least one piece of interesting jewelry. Jewelry that has personality and character.

As a Mixed Media Assemblage Jeweler, I use eclectic designs creating unique art jewelry. I work in metals, semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, crystal, recycled items, found objects, wood, industrial plastic, hand made paper, vintage beads, newsprint, and stamps, to name a few.

My jewelry is one of a kind or limited edition production pieces. All of my jewelry is handcrafted using original designs. I do not use an outside staff or fabricators in production and I purchase limited quantities of supplies in order to encourage creativity.

I am a self-taught artist. I am continually exploring and experimenting within my craft, through recycled materials, found objects and original designs.

Adornment is more than jewelry. I have found that women are expressive with jewelry, shoes and handbags. I am exploring mixed media via my new handbag line: Bagged Art Handbags©. This will give me a larger canvas in which to work.
